Our chequered past!
The Northern Brisbane Rollers are made up of a bunch of girls who
wanted to play derby on the northside. We aim to stage regular bouts
with other derby teams in South East Queensland and wherever else
we can find some like-minded souls who are into this amazing sport.
We have an incredibly varied bunch of skaters – students, mums, artists, public servants and professionals are all skaters
in our team, and people from all walks of life are welcome to join in the fun!
Most of us found out about the northside league through word of mouth,
but now it is time to gather more gutsy gals to join in the fun!
After that... WORLD DOMINATION!!!
Membership
Northern Brisbane Rollers is an incorporated, not-for-profit Co-op. The best thing about being a co-op is that each member has an equal vote on how to run things.
We're a pretty dedicated bunch, crazy about participating and promoting this exciting women's sport. If you would like to join us and get involved, all you need to do to become an active member is:
- come to our freshmeat intake day in 2009 and pass the minimum skills test
- skate as much as you can in your spare time
- help us with admin tasks and/or fundraising and spread the derby word!
